Vice Presidential Candidate:

Nic James

Hey Students my name is Nic James, I am 20 years of age and I am campaigning to be your vice president. I am currently in my third year studying sport and physical education. I am confident, approachable, friendly and hardworking. I will be 100% committed to you students as I am passionate to implement changes within the university to make your time at UWIC even more enjoyable.  The proposals that I will endeavour to implement within the next year are within my manifesto. So remember if you would like to vote for me to represent UWIC as your vice president, TICK NIC!!!!

Nic James' Manifesto

I am a confident, approachable, friendly, hardworking, organised and honest person who is passionate about UWIC! I love a challenge and I promise to strive to make UWIC a place we can all enjoy and be proud of.

So why should the students vote for me?
The University needs to ensure its acting for the students at present, not just planning for the future. Every student’s opinion matters and I will raise each issue as they arise and be 100% committed to improve the situation.  If I am elected as vice president, I would endeavour to:

  • Introduce and develop intramural sport within all campuses
  • Increase sports facilities and recreational activities on Llandaff and Cyncoed Campus
  • Deliver on all issues that are important to you as a student
  • Improve parking facilities where possible
  • Provide more support and cultural events for international students
  • Increase involvement and awareness of societies
  • Ensure the movement from Colchester Avenue to Llandaff campus runs smoothly
  • Find ways to improve student experience
  • Be 100% approachable and committed to every student
  • Promote healthy eating with catering facilities on all campuses
  • Recycle on campus and reduce the effect we as a university have on the environment
  • Increase awareness of the student union and promote all events
  • Introduce links between post graduate schemes and National Governing Bodies

So remember, to TICK NIC!
