UWIC Badminton
UWIC badminton is one of the smaller sports clubs in the university none the less it is successful.
Men 1st
Women's 1st
UWIC has one Men’s and one Women’s team both in the BUCS 1st Division for West League. UWIC Badminton also competes in BUCS Individual Championships in Nottingham every year which brings together all the best badminton players in the UK. UWIC badminton players have the chance to trial to play in the Welsh University Team to play in the British University Games, which is a full weekend of fun and badminton games.

Information on the 2011-2012 trials will be posted in early September.
UWIC badminton has some international members that are willing to help any of the other members in training and can give details of local coaches in the area for personal coaching.
As the badminton team is quite small it becomes more like a family when they come together for socials. Many of the social events happen in Centro (UWIC SU Bar), and end up heading out to Cardiff. The events of Freshers and the initiations of the new members of the teams is always the highlight of the social calendar, but there are also many other good events that are held throughout the rest of the year.
