UWIC Cheerleaders (UWIC Archers Angels)

The society was founded in October 2007 by Coach Hannah Snook, and is now coached by Claire Louise Rafferty. The squad use to be named UWIC Panthers, but has changed uniforms and name under the new ownership of the coach Claire.

The squad is currently registered with the BCA organisation and competed in 2009 BCA University Cheerleading competition in Telford, and the 2010 BCA Competitions-Midland Classics and University Competition at Telford.

We train twice weekly in NIAC and the dance studio, we currently have one squad competing at level 2.

Cheerleading involves gymnastics, dance, stunting and chanting. We cheer for UWIC BUCS games and attend competitions throughout the year. We do plenty of charity fundraising and have many fantastic socials. We also have a fundraising organiser, a tumbling coach, a dance and stunt choreographer, a captain, and a social events organiser.
